The first week of Full Cycle Dev was a success.

We had an eventful week, with the first live stream aired and countless valuable community interactions. We gave each other business tips, helped create features and more.

Less than 7 days ago, I first tested the waters with an idea I had for years. On Reddit, I asked whether anyone would be interested in watching me create and deploy a fully-fledged SaaS product. The interest was overwhelming. And the numbers are, too.

At the time of writing, we have 68 Substack subscribers, 362 Twitter/X followers, 32 YouTube subscribers, 79 Twitch followers and 356 Discord members. I never imagined this working out so great. It’s really a passion of mine, and reading all the great responses fills me with joy. Thank YOU for being part of this movement.

I have not streamed since my semi-pro Hearthstone days 10 years ago. Needless to say, I was freaking nervous. So many people were interested in hearing what I had to tell them, and it put pressure on me. However, with all the amazing feedback from the community, I deemed the first stream a success. Now, we should keep up the momentum and keep creating.

If you are reading this post years after I posted it, here’s the VoD. Hopefully, I am still streaming and more professional now. :-)

Upcoming Goals

I always need to have goals to work towards. Two natural next ones are becoming a Twitch affiliate and a listed Discord community server.

Twitch Affiliate

This should be very doable. I pretty much “only” need to lock in 6 more streams this month. I’m unsure whether that’s a rolling 30 days statistic or for November only. Anyway, I’ll try to squeeze in those remaining 6 streams in the next three weeks.

Listed Discord community

That’s a bit of a tougher feat. With our current member count, we are at about 35%. Luckily, I created the server years ago when I first had the idea. If we manage to spread the word a bit more, I’m confident that we will also manage to crack that nut.

Keep up with coming events!

Following some great advice from the Discord discussions, our next stream will be about creating a website for the community itself, to be hosted at fullcycledev.io. It should feature graphs about current and historical member counts, allow for a login with Discord and other yet-to-be-suggested features. Follow the socials if you want to be a part of this.
